Koy Tep Daravuth, Under Secretary of State for the Ministry of Labor and Vocational Training, visited MINEBEA (CAMBODIA) CO., LTD., located in Sangkat Pleung Cheh Roret, and Khan Kambol. Moeun Hok, Undersecretary of State, visited SUMI (CAMBODIA) WIRING SYSTEMS CO., LTD. Both officials participated in a social program that included lunch with the workers to foster dialogue and assess the work environment.

During the visit to MINEBEA (CAMBODIA) CO., LTD., which employs 77,700 workers, the conditions and professional relationships were found to be exemplary. The company was commended for adhering strictly to labor laws and implementing high labor standards, including providing benefits above the minimum wage of $204. These benefits include regular work bonuses, travel allowances, seniority bonuses, overtime, and 18 days of annual leave. The factory also offers unique family-friendly facilities such as a breast milk storage room and a partnered nursery near the site, with costs covered by the employer. Workers also enjoy access to two canteens, a hospital, and dormitories, all sponsored by the employer.

MINEBEA (CAMBODIA) CO., LTD. is a key player in the manufacturing of machinery components and electronic assemblies, exporting to multiple countries including Japan, Singapore, the Philippines, Vietnam, Korea, the United States, Germany, and France.

Meanwhile, Moeun Hok's visit to SUMI (CAMBODIA) WIRING SYSTEMS CO., LTD., where he met approximately 4,800 workers, confirmed that this factory also surpasses labor law requirements in worker benefits.
